On arrival, look for the parking lot on your right, called Rancho La Pavona. Arrive 30 minutes before departure.
- Show your confirmation
Show your booking at the parking entrance. For help, message us at +506 7187 5888.
- Confirm your destination and board
Tell the staff your accommodation and follow their instructions to board the correct boat.

Where to meet
Arrive 30 minutes before the boat departs.
- From La Pavona: meet at the entrance to Rancho La Pavona, the parking lot on your right as you arrive. Show your confirmation to the staff.
- From Tortuguero village: meet at Tortuguero’s main dock.
- From nearby hotels: confirm your pickup location and time via WhatsApp.
- From San Francisco: confirm your pickup location and time via WhatsApp.
Cancellations and changes
- At least 24 hours before your booked departure: cancel for a 100% refund or change your travel date.
- Less than 24 hours before departure: no refund.
- To change your departure time and travel on the same day, request the change via WhatsApp at least 3 hours before your booked departure.
All deadlines and schedules use Costa Rica local time.

Before you book
Can I drive to Tortuguero?
For this route, travel by road to La Pavona and continue by boat to Tortuguero. If driving, you can add parking to your booking.
Do I arrive in the village or at my hotel?
Select your final destination when booking. The fare varies by disembarkation point. If your accommodation is not listed, contact us before paying.
How long does the journey take?
Travel time depends on river levels, navigation conditions and stops. Allow extra time for connections and contact us if you have a deadline.
What if I am running late?
Message us on WhatsApp as soon as possible. To change departure time on the same day, request the change at least 3 hours before your booked departure.
What luggage can I bring?
For large suitcases, special equipment, a bicycle or a pet, contact us before paying to confirm space, conditions and any charges.
How do I book for children?
Only babies travelling in arms travel free.
Is parking included?
Parking is optional: US$10 per vehicle for the day only, without an overnight stay, or US$22 per vehicle per night. Check the parking type, vehicles and nights before paying.
What language is the confirmation in?
Your email confirmation uses your booking language. If the email is pending, do not pay again; contact us.
